Note style
Set it per note, per folder, or for the whole app
Note Style is where you decide how a note looks. Changes apply to that note only and leave your other notes alone.
Opening it
- 1Tap the ⋯ menu at the top right of a note and choose
Note Style - 2Or tap the
brush buttonin the bottom toolbar while not editing text
What you can set
Note type. Whether it is a plain note, a journal entry, or a to-do list. The type decides what appears at the top, such as a date or checkboxes.
Typography. Typeface, size, and line spacing for the title and body. Each choice previews in its own typeface.
Text color. The default color of the body text. Anywhere you coloured a selection yourself keeps that colour.
Background. Pick a color or lay down a paper. The papers from Awesome Note are included.
Choices apply the moment you tap them. There is no confirm button to press.
For notes made in a folder
Set Note Style while creating or editing a folder, and new notes made in that folder start out that way. The note type is chosen separately, just under the folder name.
The background can be left on Random, which gives each new note a different paper.
For the whole app
Set it under Note Style at the top of Settings > Notes and new notes start out that way from then on.
It applies to the Inbox and to folders with no style of their own.
A folder that has any style set of its own uses the folder's. What you left blank there opens with the app's plain appearance, not with this value.
Notes you already made do not change
Folder defaults and app defaults alike apply only to new notes. Changing a value leaves existing notes looking as they were.
To change one that already exists, open it and set Note Style there.
